Virginia Colleges and Universities

This colonial state is home to several colleges and universities with a long standing history of producing successful history shaping graduates. The oldest research university, College of William and Mary, was founded 1693, while the oldest military school, Virginia Military Institute, began in 1839. But since then dozens of other fine medical, graduate, and bachelor colleges have joined the list.
