Chalk up another one for Alabama

American Football on FieldIn overwhelming fashion, Alabama has proven just how dominant the SEC is in the NCAA landscape and clearly placed themselves at the top of the pack. With a monstrous 42-14 victory over Notre Dame they sealed the #1 spot and knocked the Fighting Irish down the ladder.

While the score may seem lopsided, it in fact shows signs of mercy. By the second quarter, Bama had as many points as Notre Dame had offensive yards. In the fourth, much of the Tide’s starting line was on the bench.

What is even more impressive is that there is no sign of Alabama letting up off the throttle. A large number of the Crimson Tide will be returning next season and this years rookie squad looks to improve on their already stellar performance.

Perhaps more importantly of all, head coach Nick Saban doesn’t looking to be heading anywhere soon. Thanks to returning veterans, skilled coaching and massive recruiting power, Alabama is already sitting on top the BCS rankings for 2013 along with fellow SEC member, Texas A&M and PAC-12 staples, Oregon and Stanford.

If you’re tired of seeing SEC teams at the top, with seven straight Champions, you better close your eyes.
This is their time and this is a Crimson Tide Era.
