2012 All-Texas Academic Team announced

AwardFor 2012, 126 scholars attending community colleges across Texas, were awarded with the honor of being recognized for their academic and service achievements. Shelly Alejandro from Grayson College was among the highest achievers. “It was an honor to receive the award and I am grateful to Grayson College, all my professors and Mary Linder, my PTK adviser,” Alejandro said. “Everybody I came into contact with at GC wanted me to succeed in my education.” In addition to attending a ceremony and receiving a commemorative medal, every student of the All-Texas Academic Team will be offered a full tuition, fees, room and board scholarship awarded by the University of Texas at Arlington to but used at any partnering college.
